In the words of Evangelist Matthew Obasi, “NO MORE is not a suggestion or an instruction. It is a proclamation and a declaration that when spoken, it is upheld and a decree is established”. The rising statistics of death in our country, calls for a ‘No More’ decree. On a daily basis, lives are wasting away through diseases, sicknesses, acts of terrorism, as well as various afflictions of bondage tampering with the destinies of individuals. In Acts 28:3-6, a shipwreck forced the Apostle Paul to take a break on his journey, in an island dedicated to a serpentine kingdom. The narration revealed how the hot flame exposed the snake (viper) that has been hiding. In anger and in a bid to stop Apostle Paul from fulfilling his final mission, “the viper fastened to his hand” but he “shook off the beast”. Just like Apostle Paul, we need to ‘shake off’ any attachment that interrupts the fulfillment of our destiny with the ‘No More’ declaration. The Scriptural passages of Habakkuk 2:4, Galatians 3:11, Romans 1:17 and Hebrews 10:19, all affirm, “the Just shall live by faith”. Sadly, the acts of the evil one is making ‘The just to live on medicine’ rather than faith. It reveals the extent to which the serpentine venom has metamorphosed into situations that defy medical assistance. Nevertheless, all hope is not lost if we hold on to the words in Isaiah 53:3-5. Here are four factors that determine healing: Power in the name of Jesus – as seen from Peter’s encounter with the lame man in Acts 3:6 and we can also cast out demons that cause afflictions by using Jesus’ name as seen in Mark 16:17. Power in the Word of God: When God wants to save a nation, He sends a man as seen in Isaiah 59:16, but when he wants to heal someone, He sends His Word as seen in Psalm 107:20. Power of Anointing: The Scriptural passage of Isaiah 10:27 confirms this, “…and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing”. Power of your Faith: Jesus’ encounter with the woman that had the ‘issue of blood’ in Mark 5:34 confirms that faith is very essential in speeding up a healing process. In addition, “Faith is the bridge between divinity and humanity” -Evangelist Matthew Obasi.

Furthermore, we must also pray against ‘faith-failure’ as Jesus did for Peter in Luke 22:31-32, while also bearing in mind that faith plays an essential role in removing obstacles as seen in Hebrews 11:29-30. Two ways the devil deceives us to permit afflictions to continue are use of natural phenomenon as an avenue to attack people. Take for instance, the devil can afflict someone with Dysmenorrhea (Painful Menstruation) and it could result to infertility. The devil can also make some things appear as though they are normal and not a cause for worry. It can come in form of the stormy wind experience as recorded in Luke 8:23. Finally, any situation that contradicts the Word of God is an outcry for a ‘No More’, especially when it is a reoccurring type, which violates God’s Word as in Nahum 1:9. Beloved in Christ, say it now, NO MORE!
