TOPIC: IT IS ACCORDING TO YOUR WORDS
TEXT: Numbers 14:28
So tell them, ‘As surely as I live, declares the LORD, I will do to you the very thing I heard you say
The words we speak can either make or mar an individual’s life and destiny. Words can consume and destroy a life. The unregenerated tongue always speaks evil because they are carnally minded. You can kill a man with words as easily as with a physical weapon.
People determine their own destinies by what they say or speak from their mouth. The 12 persons sent to spy the Promised Land came with two different reports. Joshua and Caleb gave good report as they spoke the voice of faith while the rest gave negative report and each group’s destiny was settled by what they said (Numbers 13:30-31). Always be mindful of what you say because your positive or negative confessions would seal and settle your destiny either way.
In our anchor scripture for today God is saying that as you have spoken in his ears, so will he do to you. God is saying in effect that you have settled what he will do for you by the words you speak. Remember that the power of life and death are in the tongue (Prov. 18:21). Some Israelites died in the wilderness because of the negative things they said. When you speak negative words, the outcome is death but positive confession brings life.
You should not be focused on the problems confronting you, rather you should focus on the promises of God in his Word concerning the situation. It is not enough to desire and ask but you must constantly declare the words of God or the outcome you expect to see as a guarantee for your dominion and victory.
My beloved brethren, Job 22:28 says that you should decree a thing and it is established. There is a saying that a closed mouth is a closed destiny; so open your mouth now and begin to confess positively to any situation confronting you and you will experience the hand of God moving to perfect every anomaly in your life.
MEDITATION
** Whatever you say will determine the outcome of what you get as angels of God and demonic angels are waiting to hear what you will say to work for or against you.
** Find out what the word of God says concerning your problem and begin to confess it.
** Positive words are creative while negative ones are destructive. Always avoid speaking negative words.
PRAYERS
** O Lord give me the grace to always speak positive words that edify.
** Lord, grant me insight into your words and reveal yourself to me.
** Lord, give me the voice of faith to speak positively and not to doubt your promises concerning me.
