TOPIC: BE STEADFAST
TEXT: 1 Corinthians 15:58

Everyone’s life is built on something, it is either built on principles or on convictions. The kind of foundation you build your life upon in the end, will determine whether you will harvest eternal life or nothing. God wants you to be steadfast and immovable in Christ.  He doesn’t want your life to collapse whenever adversities strike (Prov. 24:10). He wants you to stay strong in your life’s journey to Heaven.

Our anchor scripture for today urges us to be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil in the Lord is not in vain. There is no such thing as retirement in the Christian vocabulary. As long as God grants you good health of mind and body, you need to be actively engaged in the work of the Lord at all times. The incentive for abounding in God’s work is that your labor is not going to be in vain.  God watches and will reward you for your labour. You shall reap what you have sown in due time if you don’t faint, grow weary or give up (Galatians 6:9).

As a faithful labourer, you must be steadfast and busy with the work of the Lord so as to remain in the faith and also receive your due reward in the end. No amount of challenge and discouragement should weigh you down because the Lord’s coming is at hand. Always consider Jesus as an antidote for discouragements
(Hebrews 12:3).
When you focus on the glory and honor you will receive from the Lord, you will overcome temporary spiritual weariness.

My beloved brethren, I urge you to build your life on Jesus, the Rock. Hold on to your faith and don’t quit praising, working, giving your service for Him as working for the Lord will surely payoff. In Christ, your tears shall become triumph, your sorrows shall become joy, your pain shall become your potential, your hurt shall become your healing, and your worries shall become worthless, so be steadfast and don’t quit. May the Holy Spirit give you the strength to stand steady till the end.

THE MEMORARE
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implore thy help or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins. My Mother, to thee I come, before Thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word incarnate, despise not my petition but in Thy mercy, hear and answer me. Amen.
